Boldness/Courage!

It slowly is sinking on to me that courage is the most supreme trait of greatness-above talent, above perseverance, above whatever you can think of.

Yesterday, I went to attend a book launch in Delhi- a book written by Fatima Bhutto, the niece of Benazir Bhutto, daughter of Murtaza Bhutto! She has redefined what it means to be courageous (Songs of Blood and Sword). I don't know if she is scared for her life, I am.

I salute the courage of Fatima Bhutto. And I hope she lives a 100 years. If she does, Pakistan and the world will be a much better place.

My stance on GOD!

Here is my stance of God, once and for all.

I am an atheist. I do not believe in the existence of a GOD. I do not want to get into this discussion. I do not challenge anyone's faith but do not ask me to follow anything just because you do.

It is not fair to me. And let me just be.

I do not care who created the world or who was the first couple to reproduce. I do not give a damn.

There is no entity called God. I believe in the almighty powers like

i have no clue how destiny is formed and why some people have the best of all worlds and some people do not have food on their plate! But that gives me no rational reason to go to a temple and kneel and make some sort of a prayer to I don't know who!

it did not make any sense to me and I got irritated with lying to myself and pretending to be saying something in the temple! ok

The state of Indian Politics!

dear indian voter, here are your choices of a leader. Sushree Mulayam Singh (ban English, ban computers etc.)/ Shri Advani or Modi or anything BJP (we can't catch terrorists so we will kill and maim anything muslim; watever we say, Mandir Vahin banega/ Mayavati Ben (IT Kaun? Economy kaun saab? dalit is india); and the incumbent PM (although not inherently bad a guy, we will not assert anything)....god bless India, god bless you!


well, it is almost the eve of Indian elections and unfortunately none of the leaders that we have to pick inspires confidence.

group behaviour!!

We spend so much time in informal groups, in offices, in canteens, we just land up either with random people or even with our selected set of people.

How does a group behave. Unless and until there is a set agenda for discussion, the discussion lands in all directions and not much is gained out of time spent. My opinion is groups meetings ouught to have a purpose to be successful. The discussions need to be focussed and it should be time well spent.

I do not generally FREAK OUT in groups. If it's an informal meeting, I would like it to be a one-on-one meeting or outing. If we are going out, i want to go with a selected set of people I like and admire.

I like intelligent company, be it people or books and I love intimacy and depth.
