People will do anything in India to get married. They will say that they love kids, family, will fall in love post marriage, like to travel, party and have fun even if they fuckin retards and don't like to move out of their rat holes. So many women are wannabe hotties with traditional values whatever that means. What are traditional values anyway?!

Peace and Happiness!

"Peace is the faucet from which the fountain of happiness emerges."

I have always asked and probed externally and within myself what makes people happy. I have asked myself what makes me happy.

Fortunately or unfortunately, human life is replete with contradictions. Nature or the invisible piper of Einstein or the GOD of the rest of humanity has left so many gaps in our understanding that we will probably never be able to answer them and reach a cerebral understanding of 'why things are the way they are?'

I was looking for happiness and I have found peace.

I am not struggling with all of unanswered questions anymore. I know that they will not be answered. There are powers which control the sun, the beaches, the rivers, the entire constellation of planets and galaxies and here we are, thinking that we are the ones who dictate the course of our lives.

Albert Einstein would have known when he said:


"I do not at all believe in human freedom in the philosophical sense…. Schopenhauer’s saying, ‘A man can do what he wants, but not will what he wants,’ has been a very real inspiration to me since my youth; it has been a continual consolation in the face of life’s hardships, my own and others’, and an unfailing wellspring of tolerance. This realization mercifully mitigates the easily paralyzing sense of responsibility and prevents us from taking ourselves and other people too seriously; it is conducive to a view of life which, in part, gives humor its due." 


I have been studying the functioning of human mind and also the circumstances surrounding them for myself and people who are close to me for the last year and half.


I, for one, am convinced that my decisions or choices have been influenced else where do my thoughts and desires emerged from? Why did I face the kind of experiences I have?


I do not understand and I have no answers. I know know that nothing else could have been. I could not have thought differently or acted differently and similarly neither could have you.

"The source of happiness to me seems to be love and courage. Guts to go after what we think is right against popular opinion. Popular opinion is the opinion of unpopular cowards. What's right is what makes us happy. The only parameter of any decision is if it makes us happy. If it does not, change course.


Happiness is everything. If you are not happy today, you have got to be doing something else. Age is immaterial. Most people spend their lives as walking carcasses anyways. If the pursuit of happiness takes every minute of it of your life, let it. It's all there is to life.

The origin of this thought: I suddenly thought about a compliment somebody paid to me 10 years back. I have forgotten her name but I remember what she said...

Mummy and the emotion of love!

My mother has never said to me even once in my conscious memory that she loves me. Never uttered those 3 all important words-"i love you." She is just too shy for that. Once while coming back from office, I bought a rose and took it to her and said "i love you!" and she just said 'pagal (you fool)!' I wonder if she thought any more of it. But I felt good about the foolish act of mine.

But I know that she does. In fact, I have never loved, love or will love someone as much as I love her.

You know, some genius said that 'love is a verb.' It must be a verb. Mummy just knows :-)
