My idols

You know I do not actually care about everything that happens in this world. who does anyways?!

I am interested in what i am interested in. And there are some people I highly admire in each of those fields. These people inspire me. They continue to define the underlying reasons at times for what I do. Yes, they inspire me. I call comfortably call them my idols.

Lets look at some of my passions and the people I admire in that field;-

Business- I admire a lot great great businessmen who have changed the world. They are reason for the kind of lifestyle we live today. For example, I can write this blog because Bill Gates and Microsoft help me have a computer with the software that runs them. Google helpe me find anything i want. Sunil Mittal puts voice into my Mobile phone. And the likes.

However, I must identify someone who inspires me the most for his attitude towards the business, his personality, for he is the brand. I love Richard Branson. I love him. His life has been a dream. Incredible. The way he has acheived whatever he has achieved without giving a damn what the world thinks of him. There are hardly many management books which won't have a mention of him.

Yes, my idol in Business-----Richard Branson

Politics and Public Speaking----i love Barack Obama. Every time I hear him speak, something within me, changes. He inspires me to the core. I have read his autobiography and a know about his beginning and life. It's not fluff. He has had a tremendous life which was not easy growing up as a Black American in a white prejudiced country and with a father who only saw him once!!!

He just received the Nobel Peace Prize. I do not want to get into its rightness but I know he stands for what he says. Till BO happened, I did not have any idols in Politics, anywhere. Now i have.

Writing---oh, this one is tough. I read a lot and many people through their writing have left indelible marks on my conscience. I aim to be a professional writer also. So, this one is tough. I know I cannot ignore Dale Carnegie, who completely changed me as a person. Ayn Rand's writing is like a intellectual orgasm at every page. Sensational. I love her writing, although I picked the 'fountainhead' very late. And Jack Canfield who has categorically broken down every single element of success which I swear by. So these 3 make the list, although there are many more.
