Why?

We behave the way we do because we are who we are and we are who we are because we

belong to where we belong to. we don't know why we belong to where we belong to.

This actually might be explained with principles of Platonism, theory of forms. But im sorry if you still ask WHY Plato thought the way he did, I have no answer to that.
According to him ( from whatever I could understand), whatever is existent, they are existent because I believe that they exist.
A table is a table because of its Table-ness, because, I know and believe firmly from the core of my heart that its a table.
There is no doctrine or bible of love/ hatred ( other human emotions). I know it is love ( or, hatred, or any such other emotion), because I BELIEVE what Im feeling right now is love, and this very very belief cultivates within my mind and that particular emotion every passing day then gains a firmer footing inside me, and eventually my outward behavior with respect to another person is influenced by my this love/ hatred ( or anger/...); I define this as "i love him" / "i hate him"/ " i worship him"/ "i respect him" / ...

So, gist basically is that everything is in your mind, your belief-system. PERIOD.

okay. you can't disagree with that, it's just a different way of looking at things. I am looking for a more deeper understanding here.
